MANAGEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES AT THE ENTERPRISES OF RAILWAY TRANSPORT

Abstract
The article investigates the environmental problems of rail transport and their impact on the results of management of the industry, which led to the conclusion about the need to improve the efficiency of environmental management. Modern theoretical approaches to ensure the transformation of environmental activities of enterprises are summarized and the main directions of environmental modernization are identified: technical and technological, management, cultural and communication, and institutional. It is argued that the focus of environmental activities at the present stage of management of the railway industry should be the achievement of environmental progress, which is possible through the integration of progressive modernization measures. The content is revealed, expediency of active management of ecological activity is proved and the principles of ecological policy at the enterprises of railway complex are systematized. A system of environmental management at railway transport enterprises has been formed, resource the target, the managing (the subject of management), the driven (the object of management) and supporting (resources and management technology) blocks that are limited by the contours of international, national and regional environmental policy.
