Mathematical model of the interaction of the near field of a coaxial sensor with a layered environment

Abstract

The article investigates the design of coaxial sensors for microwave studies of the composition of matter. The peculiarities of the use of near-field microwave sensors for studying the composition of matter are considered. The ways of perfection of coaxial sensors for multilayer dielectrics in medical and biological researches are analyzed. It is shown that the maintenance of a circular disk allows to localize an electric field in the plane parallel to the sensor aperture. A version of the mathematical model for the near-field interaction of a coaxial sensor with a layered medium is proposed. A quantitative analysis of a cavity sensor with a circular disk has been carried out from the position of achieving an increase in the sensitivity of determining the parameters of multilayer dielectric objects. The results of the calculations are compared with the corresponding results of laboratory studies.
