MATHEMATICAL TOOLS MATHCAD AND SMATH STUDIO IN TEACHING OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Abstract

In this paper the demand and opportunities of application of mathematical programs SMath Studio and Mathcad in information technology training was discussed. The functionality of freeware program SMath Studio is analyzed, the differences, advantages and disadvantages comparing to the commercial program Mathcad are identified. The aim was to evaluate the possibility of using only freeware mathematical program SMath Studio on the learning purposes.
