Mediação da Informação na Sociedade do Conhecimento

Abstract
This study brings up a reflection on the information mediation process. The use of information, its absorption, access and content, are part of the scenario of the mediation process in the informational flow, which is essential for the establishment of stockpiles of information in order to make the representation and choice of this information in informational inventories. Herein, the mediator is identified as an element that is involved in information search and access, thus playing a key role in the process of obtaining knowledge. Some functions that the mediator develops between the user and the information in the mediation process are also pointed out. Conclusions show the impact of information technology and its use, as well as the importance of the mediator to “better†retrieve information.
