Abstract
(The Medium of Comics of Medial Hybridization) The medium of comics of medial hybridization: the webcomic can get an inside view of the comic and its new medium’s relation and cooperation. The infl uence of the internet as a consequence expands acts of reading and reception across substantive and formal change. In this way it is perceptible that through the hybridization, a transformation happens or can happen. In my essay I would like to point out how webcomic is able to be a comic book: my example is Gergely Oravecz’s comicblog and comic book, Blossza. With this comic I would like to present the opportunities and consequences of medial transformation. This transformation between the mediums sets an exciting problem and implicates further questions.
