MEHMET ÂKIF’S PRESENTATION OF THE CHARACTERS IN ÂSIM

Abstract
Mehmet Âkif Ersoy doesn‟t drow boundaries between his personality and his art. In contrast to other realist artist even if he gives enough importance to the realism. The real artist conceal his personality in order to create the impact of reality. However, Âkif prefers to tell what he wants to say as a part of his reality directly or through the characters he creates. While dough this, he usually use the method of dramatic monologue. His master piece, Âsım is an example of this attitude. Âsım, which serial published. In the of national struggle and printed in 1924, is an important master piece in terms of both. Its content and its structure. In this article. Mehmet Âkif‟s way of presentation of the characters in Âsım is analyzed under the headlines “ Dramatic Monologue”, “Autobiographic Gradients” and “Portrait Description”
