Abstract
The research deals with the analysis of the metatext’s foundation of drama «Envier» by a Russsian playwriter M. Arbatova. It focuses on the creation of the author’s myth about the Creator in the process of actualization of one’s own search of selfidentity in beforecrises periods of cultural transformations.
