METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF ASSESSMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHADOW SECTOR FUNCTIONING OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY

Abstract
The article analyzes the existing methods of assessing the shadow sector level of the national economy, which are used at the micro- and macrolevels. It is noted that the weighted values of the share of the shadow economy that take into account the positive aspects of the methodology of unprofitability of enterprises and the share of unprofitable enterprises give results where the average level of the shadow economy is assessed within 46% of the gross output of the extractive industry and 39% of the recycling industry. Approaches to the calculation of indirect environmental and economic damage caused to the environment as a result of the shadow economy functioning of the extractive and processing industries are proposed.
