Abstract

The article focuses on the necessity of training a competitive professional for the municipal economy, who will possess new knowledge, new competencies and skills necessary to implement reforms in this branch. A scientific and methodical system of formation of a competitive professional of municipal economy is suggested, which is developed for the Bachelor degree students. It is noted that by enhancing the competitiveness development of a future professional at the university, the educator launches the mechanism for its further self-development in the professional environment, in which this phenomenon can be fully realized. Consequently, implementation of such a system at the university level can be considered as the first stage for formation of competitiveness as a professional and personal phenomenon. The results of the study prove that components such as needs and motivational, cognitive-operational and reflective-evaluative are identified in the integrated concept of competitiveness. It is mentioned that a pedagogical experiment on forming the cognitive-operational component of competitiveness for the students of the department of Economics was conducted at O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv. The training was focused on a gradual introduction to the curriculum the disciplines, the content of which can be adjusted to different aspects of competitiveness, in particular, formation of the system of knowledge about competitiveness and communication skills (1 year); formation of general and professional competences (2 year); actualization of general and professional competencies (3 year); team building skills (4 year). The methods of the suggested system realization are demonstrated in the paper using the example of such disciplines as Fundamentals of Business Communication and City as a Social System.
