Microscopic anatomy of the parotid and submandibular salivary glands in European hamster (Cricetus cricetus L.)
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 7
Abstract
The present study was conducted to describe the histological features of parotid and submandibular salivary glands of European hamster. The glands samples were obtained from five adult males and microscopic slides were prepared using routine histological technique. The results showed that these glands divide in lobes associated with the ducts. The parotid was a typical serous gland, but the submandibular gland consisted of both serous and mucous acini in addition to serous demilunes around mucous acini.

Two step Runge-Kutta-like method for Numerical Solutions of Fuzzy Differential Equations
In this paper, we apply a numerical algorithm for solving the fuzzy first order initial value problem, based on two-step Extended Runge-Kutta–like formulae of order 3 (TSERKO3). We use Seikkala’s derivative. The elementa...
Production of haploid lines from parthenogenetic Iranian melon plants obtained of irradiated pollen (Cucumis melo L.)
Haploid and doubled haploid plants are valuable materials for genetic and cytogenetic studies as well as for plant breeding purposes such as resistance to many fungal and viral diseases that affect this crop. This techno...

Activity of peroxidase and cucurbitacin D in melon genotypes following challenge by the fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis race 1
Melon (Cucumis melo) production is significantly and economically affected by Fusarium wilt worldwide. Cucurbitacins are bitter tetracyclic triterpenoids that are toxic to most organisms and occur widely in wild and cult...
