Abstract
Name and surname identify a natural person. More oft en than not they also indicate the affiliation to the particular family. Although the subject of name and surname is quite independent and peculiar, what makes it easy to acknowledge the cases of name and surname obtainment or change which took place abroad, also in this area there are some exceptions. None of the acknowledgement methods mentioned in this paper is unconditional. What’s interesting, within the frames of all contemporarily used mechanisms, the impassable trust limit of the state legislator is set by the public order clause, which is gaining a new dimension now and does not lose on validity.
