Military factor of the state building of Ukraine (1917–1921): historical and legal aspect

Abstract

The article is devoted to the research of the role and significance of the Ukrainian Army in the development of the Ukrainian state of 1917–1921. It defined the stages of the creation of the Ukrainian Army, in particular in the period of the Ukrainian Central Rada, Hetmanat of P. Skoropadsky, the Directory, the Western Ukrainian Folks Republic, which are the most instructive for the modern state creation in military sphere. The main principles of the development of the Ukrainian Army in the fixed period are highlighted. An analysis of its formation is indicated: organization, provision, legislative fixing of military construction and the main miscalculations. Comprehensively covered the role of military factor in the Ukrainian state construction in the mentioned period
