MODEL OF MAGNETIC DEGENERATE DWARF
Journal Title: Odessa Astronomical Publications - Year 2017, Vol 30, Issue
Abstract
The macroscopic characteristics of the degenerate dwarves were calculated based on the equation of state of a spin-polarized electron gas at T = 0K as well as at finite temperatures. It was shown that the spin-polarization cause an increase of the radius and mass in comparison with the characteristics of standard Chandrasekhar model. Within adopted model, the value of critical mass was estimated, by which an instability due to general relativity effects occurs. Parameters of model are: the relativistic parameter x0 at stellar center, the chemical composition parameter µe = ‹A/Z›, the degree of spinpolarization ζ, the dimensionless temperature of core T0∗= kBTc/m0c2 and its radius ξ0 = Rc/R (Rcis the core radius, R is the radius of a dwarf). The inverse problem for a sample of massive dwarfs was solved using the known masses and radii and the parameters x0, T0∗ were found for fixed values of spin-polarization.

Hα AND Hβ PROFILE VARIATIONS IN THE SPECTRA OF THE STAR 55 CYG
We study the variability of the Hα and Hβ lines in the spectra of 55 Cyg based on observations acquired in 2014 on the 2-m telescope of Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory. In this work line profiles...
INVESTIGATION OF THE MICROTEK SCANMAKER 1000XL PLUS SCANNER OF THE INSTITUTE OF ASTROPHYSICS OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN
This work was done to estimate the accuracy of the processing method of photographic plates and the detailed study of the Microtek ScanMaker 1000XL Plus scanner, which plans to be used for the digit...
PROBLEM OF MISTAKES IN DATABASES, PROCESSING AND INTERPRETATION OF OBSERVATIONS OF THE SUN. I.
In databases of observations unnoticed mistakes and misprints could occur at any stage of observation, preparation and processing of databases. The current detection of errors is complicated by the fact that the works of...
VARIABILITY FEATURES OF THE RADIO SOURCE OT 081 IN CENTIMETER WAVELENGTH RANGE
OT 081 – BL Lac object, intensively studied for many years in a wide range of the electromagnetic spectrum. We used observational data for 1999-2011 years, obtained on radio telescope at Michigan State University (UMRA...
SPECTROSCOPIC INVESTIGATIONS OF GALACTIC CLUSTERS WITH ASSOCIATED CEPHEID VARIABLES. II. NGC 5662 AND V CEN
We present the results of a spectroscopic and photometric investigation of 15 objects from the open cluster NGC 5662, which contains the Cepheid V Cen. Besides the Cepheid, we studied one G-supergiant, two K-giants, four...
