Model of substitute material in the analysis of the bent reinforced concrete cross-section

Abstract

The paper presents the methodology for determination of strength and deformation parameters for a hypothetical model of homogeneous substitute material in the reinforced concrete cross section subjected to pure bending. These parameters were determined on the basis of the proposed homogenizing function using the effective reinforcement ratio of a reinforced concrete cross-section. A comparative analysis of the moment–curvature relation for the substitute cross-section and reinforced concrete bent cross-section was carried out.[b]Keywords[/b]: civil engineering, building structures, bent reinforced concrete cross-section, homogeneous substitute material, homogenization
