Abstract
MODELS OF REALITY IN GEORGE BERNARD SHAW’S PLAYS: MEANS OF INTERPRETATION The paper reveals ways of interpreting reality as a discourse in G. B. Shaw’s plays Misalliance, Getting Married, Man and Superman, Back to Methuselah and Saint Joan. It also features the main characteristics of conflict situations in Shaw’s plays. Analyses suggest that these conflict situations have no external reflection; they can be derived from the subtext by outlining details, expressing moods and highlighting plot nuances.
