Modeling of Energy Output in Poultry for Egg Production Farms using Artificial Neural Networks
Journal Title: Journal of Animal Production Advances - Year 2012, Vol 2, Issue 5
Abstract
The present study aimed at firstly investigating the energy input-output pattern of some poultry for egg production farms and secondly the applicability of artificial neural networks (ANNs) to model was presented. A face to face questionnaire method was utilized to collect the required information to determine the input and output parameters to the model. An ANN model for the system was developed based on back propagation learning algorithm. The validation results showed that the network yields a high coefficient of determination as 0.992, with minimum mean relative error of 0.0017 and mean absolute percentage error of 1.24%. The results confirmed that artificial neural networks modeling of energy use pattern is acceptable.
