Modern state of genetics, selection and biotechnology in Ukraine (By the proceeding of the XI International conference «Factors for experimental evolution of organisms», September 12-16, 2016, Odessa, Ukraine)

Abstract
This article provides information about the XI International scientific conference «Factors in experimental evolution of organisms» dedicated to the 150th birthday anniversary of Thomas Hunt Morgan, a Nobel Prize winner, and 115th birthday anniversary of M.M. Hryshko, an academician of Academy of Sciences of the UkrSSR and also information about the associated with the conference VI Congress of All-Ukrainian Association of Plant Biologists. The event was held in Odessa (Ukraine) from the 12th–16th of September and was been attended by 85 scientists, educators, and PhD students. The paper reviews the scientific reports presented at the conference and briefly outlines their content. The best talks and articles selected by the International Scientific Committee of the conference have been noted.Keywords: genetics, breeding, biotechnology, history of science.
