MODERN TRENDS IN THE GLOBAL MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS MARKET

Abstract
In the article modern tendencies of development of the world market of mergers and acquisitions in the conditions of a crisis and transformational transformations of economy are researched. It has been determined that the competitive environment, namely its changes, is the basis of mergers and acquisitions. With the development of the economy, they become more substantial and rapid. Globalization, diversification, technological progress, market liberalization - each of these factors constantly affects the assessment of the company’s assets and forecasts of its functioning, makes it necessary to actively seek investment opportunities, reduce costs and strategies for countering competitors. This means that the peaks of mergers and acquisitions fall into periods of structural change, industrial crises and upsurges, inflation, technological revolutions, when there is a significant organizational restructuring of the economy and revaluation of its assets. Consequently, the relevance of a comprehensive research topic is determined by the fact of economic uncertainty in modern markets, which encourages many companies to integrate. To achieve the goal of the study as a theoretical and methodological basis, a system of general scientific and special methods, in particular methods of scientific abstraction and synthesis, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, observation and comparison, is used to study the similarities and differences of the world market of mergers and acquisitions in general, as well as consideration of sectoral structures. Future directions of development are the explored forecast of changes in the market of mergers and acquisitions.
