MODERN TRENDS IN THE OFFSHORE SECTOR OF THE WORLD ECONOMY

Abstract
Article is devoted to main current tendencies in world economy offshore sector. First point is that two biggest players are published main points of their own anti-offshore policies. And due to them, USA wants to slow down or reverse all anti-offshore tendencies of EU. Main reason – they are unprofitable to USA and potentially can cause the review of already paid taxes and tax contributions from USA to EU, as said in White paper of U.S. Treasury. As result, scientists are waiting the EU response because that White paper looks like the first step in tax war between USA and EU. Other global anti-offshore tendency is the growth of economic, political and financial pressure on some European offshores. Main lines and factors that caused this pressure are analyzed in the article. The edge of pressure is oriented on Gibraltar and its offshore sector of economy (main host for EU gambling services). As for Ukraine, the influence of current anti-offshore tendencies are not impressive. The shortage of financial flows to pressured offshores will be minimized by alternative offshore mechanisms; the shortage of banks in offshores also will be minimized by alternative bank accounts. Therefore, in Ukraine we need to take part in international anti-offshore policy and in article it is reasoned in what policy we should take part.
