MODERNIZATION OF MANAGEMENT PROCESS OF MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT OF RAILWAY TRANSPORT

Abstract
The article analyses the issue of provision of the transport industry, in general, and directly the railways of Ukraine with material and technical resources. The main problem of the industry is highlighted – low efficiency of inventory management in the industrial environment. As a solution to this problem, there is proposed the transition from traditional management methods to logistic ones. There are also proposed measures to maximize the use of materials stored in warehouses in railway enterprises. There is substantiated the topicality of logistics management of material and technical resources for improving the performance of enterprises in this industry.
