Modifiers applied in the combustion process of fuel oils and solid fuels
Journal Title: CHEMIK nauka-technika-rynek - Year 2012, Vol 66, Issue 11
Abstract
One of the priorities of the protection of the atmosphere against polluting with toxic substances is the emissions reduction of volatile organic compounds and carbon monoxide. Helpful in this range could be catalysts improving the effect of the fuel combustion. In this paper a role of catalysts in the environmental protection was described as well as the latest trend in applying modifiers to the burn of fuel oils and solid fuels was compared. The latest trend in applying modifiers to combustion of fuel oils and solid fuels was compared. Kinds of modifiers, methods of entering them into a furnace chamber, and their effectiveness were described.
