MONITORING OF INFORMATION SUPPORT OF USERS OF SCIENTIFIC LIBRARY OF THE ADMIRAL MAKAROV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SHIPBUILDING

Abstract
We investigate the use of information resources Activity SL NUOS academic staff of the university. The purpose of research - to determine the specificity of the information needs of SL NUOS users, the main channels of information, the role of the library as an information broker. To predict future orientations in the organization of information studying needs of NUOS academic staff for May - October 2014 survey of 89 users was conducted. During the research the following features of the information needs of NUOS academic staff revealed: • A wide range of interests; • High requirements for timeliness and completeness of the information; • The interest of scientists in related fields of science; • The lack of a language barrier. Summarizing and systematizing the results of the study, it was concluded to optimize information service for scientists through a system of measures.
