MUSICAL AND RHYTHMIC MOVEMENTS AS AN EFFECTIVE MEANS OF DEVELOPING PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN’S MUSIC ABILITIES

Abstract

The problem of using musical and rhythmic movements is relevant because rhythm plays an important part in primary schoolchildren’s musical upbringing and education, it also corresponds to their age psychological and physiological development, needs, inquiries and interests. The purpose of the article is to carry out a retrospective analysis of the problem, to determine the significance of musical and rhythmic movements while developing primary schoolchildren’s musical abilities. As a result of analyzing scientific and methodological literature musical and rhythmic movements are considered to be the most productive type of musical activities. Musical and rhythmic movements develop pupils’ skills to perceive, to listen, to analyze musical works, to cause the desire of being a creator of art. It is proved that musical and rhythmic movements are indispensable elements of musical education in primary school. The effectiveness of musical and rhythmic movements for the child’s musical development is substantiated. The reason for the effectiveness of motor activity while working with young schoolchildren in Music lessons is studied. While choosing works for performing in primary school, the teacher should take into account the tasks of developing the pupils’ high artistic taste, the availability of these works for perception, the brightness and specificity of the material to be performed in accordance with the children’s age characteristics. It is concluded that the teacher’s preparation for Music lessons should be relied on the following tasks of children’s musical and rhythmic upbringing: development of metro-rhythm perception skills; rhythmic performance of musical movements, the ability to perceive them; the ability to coordinate the nature of the movement with the music nature; development of imagination, musical abilities; increasing students’ interest in music, developing the ability to perceive it emotionally; expanding the children’s musical outlook.
