Abstract
The paper presents a case of cardiac arrest in a public place and the specificity of a nurse’s operations as a member of an emergency medical team. It draws attention to the special role of the witness of an incident as a person who undertakes basic life support. Any of us may witness an accident, regardless of our profession, as well as any of us may need help. Therefore the article emphasizes the role of all elements of the chain of survival.
