Abstract
Annotations Purpose: to determine the characteristics of the competitive activities of qualified cadet taekwondoists before and after changes in the rules of the competition. Material and methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodical literature; videotape analysis of the competitive fights of qualified cadet taekwondo athletes (n = 135); methods of mathematical statistics. Results: The results of the analysis of video footage of competitive fights showed that after changes in the rules of the competition, qualified cadet taekwondo athletes began to more often use technical and tactical actions that are the most difficult, effective and spectacular – twit-dolyo-chagi, twit-chagi and fourier-chagi. Thus, the performance indicator of technical-tactical actions amounted to 8.82 points (for one athlet), which is 2,08 points more than before the changes in the rules of the competition, and the efficiency indicator increased by 2,09 % to 10,31%. It has been established that qualified cadet taekwondo athletes, over the course of three rounds of a duel, have a rather high performance technical arsenal. Video analysis showed that changes in competition rules had a positive effect on the cadet taekwondo activities, the fight became more fluid and intense, but since the rules of previous years provided for standard provisions that determined the result of the fight, the technical arsenal of athletes was low, and this affected the numbers and quality technical and tactical actions. Conclusion: the results of the study show the need to improve the training process of cadet taekwondo athletes with regard to changes in competition rules
