CHOOSING AN EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP STYLE IN BUSINESS IN VIEW OF THE DIFFERENTIATION OF SOCIAL ACTIVITY OF EMPLOYEES IN THE LABOR COLLECTIVE

Abstract
. In the article the notion of social activity of the person in business relationship is revealed. The recommendations regarding choosing of the leadership style by lead manager are developed taking into account the types of social activity that realized by employees in the labor collective. The proposition is improvement of approach to the definition of a well-known concept «the level of professional maturity of subordinates». In this case taking into account the types of social activity that realized by employees the classification of subordinates is carried out and proposed for using in selecting an effective leadership style. The proposed classification includes five groups, each of which has its own specific characteristics relative to the social activity of subordinates. The classification of the social activity implemented by employees in the labor collective is performed, namely: professional-creative activity, individual activity and anti-social activity. Degree of realization of the above-mentioned types of the social activity of employees in the labor collective determines the choice of lead manager behavior: problems centric or anthropocentric. As the problems centric so the anthropocentric behavior of lead manager also depends on the level of implementation of the professional maturity of employees in the labor collective. Generated differentiation of leadership style with all three elements that influence on the final choice of effective leadership style of management system when it impacts on the control object make it fully possible to realize the situational management in practice of particular business functioning. Investigations performed by the authors can and should be a criterion for choosing the most effective leadership style by lead manager in the process of management of the labor collective.
