Improved Ujević method for finding zeros of linear and nonlinear equations
Journal Title: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MATHEMATICS TRENDS AND TECHNOLOGY - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
—In this paper, we suggest a new predictor- corrector method for solving nonlinear equations by combining Halley’s method and Ujević method. The method is verified on a number of test examples and numerical results show that the proposed method is very effective with respect to Ujević method and Newton’s method for finding zeros of nonlinear equations.

Influence of Non-Selective Harvesting and Prey Reserve Capacity on Prey-Predator Dynamics
In the present paper, we have developed a simple two species prey-predator model in which the prey dispersal in a two patch environment, one is assumed to be a free hunting zone and the other is a reserved zone where hun...
On gr*-Closed Sets in a Topological Spaces
The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of generalized regular star closed sets and study some of its properties.
Bootstrap Testing for Long Range Dependence
The presence of long-memory or long-range dependence (LRD) in a stochastic process has important consequences in statistical inferences. Lo develops a robust test for detecting the existence of LRD and derives its asympt...
Decompositions of Some Types of Supra Soft Sets and Soft Continuity
In this paper we introduce the notion of supra soft topological spaces. We extend the notion of -operation, pre-open soft sets, -open soft sets, semi-open soft sets and -open soft sets to such spaces and study their prop...
Effect of Resistance to flow and wall shear stress on axially symmetric artery for Non-Newtonian fluid Model of blood flow through a stenosis
An effort has been made to explore the nonNewtonian behaviour on blood flow through a stenosed artery with Power-law fluid model. Numerical illustration presented at the end of the paper provides the consequences...
