Synthetic Evaluation of The Distance between Poland and EU Countries Based on The Selected Aspects of Environmental Protection

Abstract
The aim of the study is to assess the position of Poland against the EU countries in terms of selected indicators characterizing the state of environmental protection in 2000 and 2010. The study sought to answer the question whether the Polish position in terms of the environment has changed significantly over the 10 years? Of the many methods of multivariate analysis were used linear ordering methods — classical Z. Hellwig method and positional based on the median method.
