Viable Modifications to Improve Handover Latency in MIPv6
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
Various Handover techniques and modifications for Handover in MIPv6 come into light during past few years. Still the problem remains, such as quality of services, better resource utilization during Handover and Handover latency. This paper focuses on such problems within various Handover techniques and proposes some modifications to reduce the Handover latency. This also improves the quality of services related with Handover in MIPv6. Experimental results presented in this paper shows that the Handover latency in MIPv6 will be reduced by applying these proposed modifications. This paper is organized in following sections: section I gives the introduction, Section II presents the Basic operations for MIPv6 Handover, Section III focuses on the related work with background, Section IV proposes modifications and Section V concludes the paper while underlining future prospects in this domain.

Denoising CT Images using wavelet transform
Image denoising is one of the most significant tasks especially in medical image processing, where the original images are of poor quality due the noises and artifacts introduces by the acquisition systems. In this paper...
Approximation Algorithms for Scheduling with Rejection on Two Unrelated Parallel Machines
In this paper, we study the scheduling problem with rejection on two unrelated parallel machines. We may choose to reject some jobs, thus incurring the corresponding penalty. The goal is to minimize the makespan plus the...
Palm Vein Verification System based on Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform
This document presents a new approach in verification system to verify the identity of person by his intrinsic characteristics “Palm vein” which is unique, universal and easy to captured. The first step in this system is...
HIDING AN IMAGE INSIDE ANOTHER IMAGE USING VARIABLE-RATE STEGANOGRAPHY
A new algorithm is presented for hiding a secret image in the least significant bits of a cover image. The images used may be color or grayscale images. The number of bits used for hiding changes according to pixel neigh...
