НЕКОТОРЫЕ ОСОБЕННОСТИ ПЕРЕВОДА РЕЛИГИОЗНОГО ТЕКСТА

Abstract
The process of translating a religious text, as well as the identification and analysis of the problems that an interpreter encounters, provides a rich material for studying the peculiarities of these types of texts in different languages. The article identifies the problems that arise when translating a religious text from Russian into Georgian, and analyzes the ways of solving the problems. The research is done on one of the exegetical works by St. Theophan the Recluse. In the process of translating the original text into Georgian, various lexical complexities were identified, in particular, the problem of choosing the appropriate lexical-semantic version of the polysemantic words and the choice of right synonyms. The study confirmedthe need for a scrupulous separation of the meanings of the components of polysemantic words and the nuances. That is because some of the lexical-semantic variants of the original text often correspond to different words in the target language.
