Nephrourologic Models and Imaging Methods Used in Preclinical Studies
Journal Title: Nükleer Tıp Seminerleri - Year 2019, Vol 5, Issue 1
Abstract
Preclinical nephrourological animal models are divided into two different types as surgical and toxic according to the way they are formed. These models are renal toxicity induced by aminoglycosides, congestion in the ureteropelvic junction, pyelonephritis and vesicoureteral reflux. Nuclear medicine procedurs used in imaging of nephrourological models are renal cortical scintigraphy and dynamic renal scintigraphy.
