Neuro-Fuzzy stereo camera calibration architectures used in interactions with medical volumes
Journal Title: Acta Technica Napocensis- Electronica-Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications) - Year 2012, Vol 53, Issue 4
Abstract
Computer assisted diagnosis/surgery systems need improved solutions for visualization and interactions, as the virtual probe tools. This work presents such an interaction tool and its applications in medical imaging. The novelty is represented by the use of neuro-fuzzy systems in 3D virtual probe positioning; two such configurations are presented and compared to the crisp positioning system. We prove that the neuro-fuzzy solutions outperform the crisp solutions in terms of computational complexity and positioning accuracy. The proposed framework integrates several functionalities: positioning of arbitrary cutting planes; 3D editing, measurements and annotations; stereo visualization. Being a flexible architecture, other functionalities could be integrated in the future.

Robust Feature Sets for the Speech Processing
This paper compares the various feature sets for speech signal such as cepstral-based and acoustically-driven parameters to analyze and see how robust they are in different noise environments. Despite the success of the...
An Adaptive Digital Compensation Design for Buck Converter Topology
: This paper presents a digital type III compensator that needs no calculation made by a designer. First an analog type III compensator is designed for a buck converter and based on it the digital model is obtained. Both...
Characterization Of Small Cells Networks Deployment Options And Their Impact Upon Macro-Cellular Networks
This paper investigates the effect of small cells networks deployment in a typical traditional macro-cellular mobile communications network. The main deployment options are presented and their impact is shown for the cas...
Performance Analysis of Network Coding-Based Cooperation Algorithms Employed in Cellular Networks
The employment of the network coding, combined with distributed FEC coding, in cooperative transmission schemes leads to a more efficient use of the additional time-frequency resources required by cooperation, i.e. by al...
A Novel Approach for Efficiency Enhancement and Size Miniaturization of UWB Printed Antennas
The printed antenna is one of the most preferred antenna structures for low cost and compact design of wireless communication systems. In this paper we have investigated a new approach for improving the radiation efficie...
