Abstract
The article undertakes the issue of the relation between one of the most dynamic and meaningful areas of modem civilization and an essential element of human life - spirituality. The analysis is based on the addresses made by the outstanding thinker, Pope Benedict XVI, on the occasion of the annual World Communications Day. The article presents the addresses and points out to the way they present the relations between eternal God, modem technologies related to communication, a positive potential typical to the media; as well as the role mass media may and should play, when it comes to spirituality.
