Nuevos datos sobre la configuración urbana de Cehegín en 1540
Journal Title: Alquipir - Year 2022, Vol 7, Issue 1
Abstract
As a consequence of the different outbreaks of war and revolution that took place in the course of the Spanish Modern Age, the different cities, towns and villages changed their urban morphology, affecting their potential as military headquarters. In this case, the element generating new realities will be in the castles and fortresses, which will act in many cases as population centres, although the aim here is not to describe the expansion of the city, but rather the interference of the central bodies in the new constructions and the relationships established with the craftsmen.
