On the correct use of the term «physical culture and sport»

Abstract
Analyzed the features used in modern scientific and technical literature, the concepts of «physical culture» and «sport». It is proved that the term «physical culture» reflects broader understanding of the process of physical perfection of man than the term «sport». Shown that physical culture, being a part of human culture, is also one of the areas of social activities of people associated with the use of exercise, aimed at understanding and transformation of spiritual and carnal human nature in all its diversity. Established that sport is a form of social manifestation of physical culture at the heart of which is the competitive activity of people.
