On the Seismic Cloaking
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2014, Vol 11, Issue 1
Abstract
Geometric transformations are strongly sustained by manufacture of auxetic materials based on the pore size reduction through radial compression molds. In addition, geometric transformations underlie the development of seismic cloaking. The spatial compression of the conventional foams is determined by the shape of the cloaked object. The cloaking structures can effectively convert the destructive seismic waves into a different type of wave whose intensity dissipates quickly. The technique is the same to the scattering waves of light to render objects invisible.

Tubewave - Interactive Software Dedicated to Guided Waves in Tubes
The guided ultrasonic waves have become interesting alternatives to classical pulse-echo nondestructive testing in industrial piping systems. These guided waves have the capability to travel for several meters along pipe...
Vibration experimental determination of internal combustion engines, using its data acquisition and virtual instruments
AThis paper presents a method for measuring the vibration occurring at internal combustion engines cars, depending on octane of used fuel. Heat engines have been tested on the booth using sensors and transducers connecte...
Vibrations of the Elliptical Gears
In the paper we analyze the elliptical gears from the kinematic, dynamic, and of the inlaid torsional vibrations points of view. We study the uni-lobe and bi-lobe elliptical gears. To be out to determine the mechanical p...
Investigation of the Noise at the Limit of Functional Zones
Within the context of sustainable development and environmental protection, a special concern is addressed to the study of noise generation and propagation in the environment. An important contribution to the noise gener...
Controlled Vibrations with Boundary Conditions for Periodically Thin Structure
This paper studies the homogenization of controlled waves problem over a threedimensional cross linked structure reinforced that depends on two small parameters ɛ - the period and δ - the small thickness of the material....
