OPTICAL METHOD AND COAL MINE INITIAL STAGE COMBUSTION COORDINATES MONITORING INSTRUMENT DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The article shows the problem of protecting coal mines from explosions of methane-air mixtures in the presence of coal dust. The ways of reducing the probability of such accidents are considered. The prospects of using automatic combustion localization systems at the initial stage are shown. The developed optical method and the optoelectronic instrument on its basis allow to determine the initial stage of combustion, while providing high accuracy in determining the two-dimensional coordinates of the source. Spectral ratio method reduces the error to the decision being made introduced by the intermediate environment between the source and the optoelectronic instrument. The technical characteristics of the monitoring instrument make it possible to use it as a means of detecting the source of combustion in the structure of automatic localization systems.
