OPTIMIZATION OF THE TEACHING RUSSIAN AT THE UNIVERSITY: PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS AS THE MATERIAL FOR CROSS-CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The authors analyze objective and subjective difficulties, cross-cultural problems which arise when foreigners learn Russian, mention the stages and targets of the experiment conducted. Particular attention is given to Russian phraseological units of different content and structural characteristics, among them being the group with somatic and colour component. Phases and aims are represented as qualitative and quantitative phraseological data. The language acquisition optimizing method, based on thesaurus-thematic cycles and experimented on during 2 years of teaching at the University, is suggested in the article. The utilization of tasks during two years showed their effectiveness. The students master the forms of key words, phraseological units and basic vocabulary of the Russian language. The taking the cognitive field of the thesaurus takes place thanks to the mastering of the new practical importance, understanding of conceptual relations between phraseological units.
