Abstract
A.I. Litvinov Organic products: problems of market and prospects for manufacturers. The paper is devoted to the problems of developing the organic products market and outlining the prospects for the organic products manufacturers on such market. It has been substantiated that the growth of the organic products market originates from restructuring of a part of demand from the market of traditional products due to the fact that those are substitutes. Under the circumstances of decreasing population restructuring the demand to a more expensive segment is a mean of securing the market volume in the dimension of money when its physical dimension is shrinking. Such situation brings new opportunities for those agricultural manufacturers who are capable of taking this challenge. Other important problem for domestic organic products manufacturers is somewhat incoherent regulations. Solving the problem of harmonization of local regulations of organic products manufacturing with corresponding EU regulations would allow a close integration of domestic manufacturers into the system of international economic cooperation which is a large reserve for improving their efficiency.
