Abstract
O.I. Lebedinska. Features of international logistics in the conditions of globalization. The importance of logistics in international business is generally recognized. International firms pay particular attention to improving the efficiency of logistics systems, since the right solution of strategic issues will allow them to gain competitive advantages in modern conditions, as well as reduce their costs in production, finance and communications. International logistics is defined as knowledge of the organization and management of the system of material, informational, financial, service flows of the international firm. The feature of international logistics is the fact that the manufacturer and consumer of the goods are in different countries, and therefore the process of delivery of goods to the consumer includes the overcoming of state borders and customs. Almost any definition of international logistics includes, explicitly or implicitly, the fact that international logistics helps to integrate different parts of different supply chains around the world. The main goals of international logistics are to ensure the transportation of various goods from one state to another, as well as to optimize the costs of delivering goods from manufacturer to consumer. In order to achieve the main goals of international logistics, logistics companies need to solve the problem of choosing the optimal route, selecting the forwarding company, planning each stage of delivery and optimizing its terms, passing the customs, organizing the storage of goods, and others. International logistics has a number of problems. Some arise due to differences caused by national peculiarities, which need to be adapted. Others can be overcome by simple administrative methods, while others are decided by the creation of customs unions, unions, groups. To enter the overseas markets, the company can use different options, export its products independently or use the services of intermediaries. Each of them has its own advantages in logistics activities. But recently there has been a tendency towards global operations in a single integrated market.
