PAINTER CONTEXT OF THE ARTISTIC COLLECTION OF ZOVKVA CASTLE: HISTORY OF FORMATION, COMPOSITION AND THEMATIC DIRECTIONS

Abstract
This article describes the main stages of the formation of the Zhovkva artistic collection, establishes its quantitative indicator sand composition in different historical periods of its functioning, as well as the ways and time of the dispersal of priceless Zhovkva works. The decisive influence of castle owners, their aesthetic tastes, awareness of contemporary tendencies and trends in art, and ultimately the socio-political and financial situation, on the creation and expansion of a big castle art collection.
