PECULIARITIES OF INSURANCE IN AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

Abstract
Article considers actual issues about development of agricultural insurance in Ukraine. The general level of development of agricultural insurance was investigated. The analysis of indicators of insurance companies engaged in agro-insurance was given. The main reasons for reluctance of agricultural enterprises to conclude insurance contracts with insurers on possible risks in the agrarian sector were determined. There were determined the tendencies of development of the market of agrarian insurance for the period 2014-2018. The basic legal and regulatory framework regulating the activity of insurance companies in the agri-insurance market was analysed. The main problems and positive aspects of state support in agriculture were analysed. The ways of improving the functioning of the agrarian insurance market in Ukraine and defining the main tasks that need to be implemented to improve the state of the agrarian sector were substantiated.
