Peculiarities of the psychoemotional condition of respondents with vegetative dysfunction on the example of the medical university students
Journal Title: Український терапевтичний журнал - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 1
Abstract
Objective — to identify the frequency and clinical psychopathological peculiarities of the psychoemotional state of the entrants of the Vinnytsia National Medical University (VNMU) named after M.I. Pirogov. Materials and methods. Complex clinical psychopathological examination of 233 entrants (82 boys and 151 girls) was conducted at VNMU named after M.I. Pirogov using psychological methods of self-evaluation of depression (Patient Health Questionnaire — PHQ-9) and signs of vegetative changes test (A.M. Wеin’s test). Statistical processing performed on the computer program Statistics 6.1 (Stat Soft Inc., USA). Results and discussion. It has been established that 89 entrants (38.2 %) did not have any complaints. However, the analysis of the Wein’s test in these same individuals revealed vegetative dysfunction in 24 adolescents (26.97 %), and the study of the test PHQ-9 — signs of mild depression in 18 (20.22 %), moderately severe depression — at 2 (2.25 %) people, without depression — 79 (88.76 %) persons. Among the 21 adolescents (9.01 %) who had functional cardiovascular syndromes, 8 (38.09 %) had signs of vegetative dysfunction, and 3 (14.29 %) were signs of mild «subclinical» depression, 1 (4.76 %) — moderate severity of depression, 16 (76.19 %) did not have depression. Three persons had respiratory system disorders (1.29 %), 2 of them (66.67 %) had vegetative dysfunction. Violation of the gastrointestinal tract detected in 19 people (8.15 %). Of these, 5 people (26.32%) had vegetative dysfunction, 5 (26.32 %) — mild («subclinical») depression, 14 (73.68 %) — without depression. Symptoms from the musculoskeletal system had 8 entrants (3.43 %), of which 3 (37.5 %) had autonomic dysfunction, 3 (37.5 %) — mild depression, 5 (62.5 %) — without depression. Several syndromes (27.47 %) occurred in 64 entrants. Of these, 41 (64.06 %) persons had autonomic dysfunction, 21 (32.81 %) — mild depression, 3 (4.69 %) — moderate severity of depression, 1 (1.56 %) — severe depression, 32 surveyed (50.0 %) — without depression. Conclusions. The use of psychological techniques allowed identifying the highest level of autonomic dysfunction in adolescents with respiratory system disorders (66.67 %) and in the presence of several syndromes (64.06 %). Attention is payed to the fact that in adolescents, that did not have any complaints we detected vegetative dysfunction (26.97 %) and mild depression (22.47 %). Signs of mild depression most often diagnosed with disorders of the locomotor system (37.5 %), gastrointestinal tract (26.32 %) and the combination of several syndromes (39.06 %). Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ9) and vegetative disorders test (A.M. Wein’s test) is used to identify adolescents with psychoemotional disorders that have tendency to emotional maladaptation, and to study the relationships between the effect of psychogenic factors and symptoms of psychosomatic pathology.
