PEMBERDAYAAN KETERAMPILAN GURU MATEMATIKA DALAM MENYUSUN BAHAN AJAR BERBANTUAN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION SOFTWARE

Abstract
The development of ICT in the education sector provides innovative prospects, excellent power and optimistic involvement in improving the quality of teaching and learning process including mathematics learning. It becomes a challenge for teachers as central holders in the learning process in the classroom. Developing and improving the teachers’ pedagogical professionalism in integrating technology in learning are an absolute responsibility. The main focus of this community service program is to provide socialization and training both theoretical and practical in the development of mathematics teaching materials assisted by mathematics education software. The aims is to empower and improve the skills of mathematics teachers, especially at junior high school (SMP) and madrasah tsanawiyah (MTS) levels in private schools at Taktakan District in the city of Serang. The specific targets of this program are improvements in learning quality, pedagogic competence improvement and professional development of SMP and MTS private mathematics teachers. The method used to achieve the goal is Apprenticeship Participatory Learning and Action method. The core stage of this program involves SMP and MTS private mathematics teachers directly as participants who follow a series of activities: (1) knowledge sharing of ICT use in mathematics learning process, (2) urgently socialization of using mathematics teaching materials assisted by ICT in mathematics learning and introduction of Mathematics Education Software, (3) exploration of Mathematics Education Software and its implementation on the teaching materials, and (4) the practice of making mathematics teaching materials assisted by Mathematics Education Software. In general,from the data found that these activities present good influence and positive response from teachers in developing mathematics teaching material assisted by mathematics education software.
