Pengendali Listrik Rumah Berbasis Cloud Computing

Abstract
This paper discusses about how to reduce energy consumption in the home through the provision of information to the residents on the use of electricity at home, and provides an effective way to respond to that information. This paper proposes an Home Electric Monitoring System or Sistem Monitoring Listrik Rumah (SMLR). Sensing, monitoring, and actuating is part of SMLR which plays an important role in reducing energy consumption in the home can be accessed through web browsers and mobile devices. The system is built on a cloud computing platform that provides tools and mechanisms that support the development of applications in the cloud environment that helps the user to monitor and control the electrical equipment was at home. The results of this research are expected to encourage the user to change their habits in using electricity. Users will notice their electricity usage because they are aware to use electricity as efficiently as possible. The more electricity saved, the less they spend the money to pay the bills.
