PERFORMANCE AND SPEED COMPARISON OF SURF AND ORB DESCRIPTORS
Journal Title: Електроніка та системи управління - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 55
Abstract
Fast and robust image processing and matching is a very important task with various applications in computer vision and robotics. In this paper, we compare the performance of two different image matching techniques, i.e., by speed up robust features and by rotated robust independent elementary features, against different kinds of transformations and deformations such as scaling, rotation, noise, fisheye distortion, and cropping. For this purpose, we manually apply different types of transformations on original images and compute the matching evaluation parameters such as the number of key points in images, the matching rate, and the execution time required for each algorithm and we will show that which algorithm is the best more robust against each kind of distortion.

TEST BENCH OF AXIAL GENERATORS OF WIND POWER PLANTS
This article is devoted to the construction of a test bench for quality control of an axial generator, which is a part of a low-power wind power plant. The axial generator reaches the working power at a wind speed of 3–3...
ENSURING THE SAFE LANDING OF THE QUADROCOPTER IN AN ACCIDENT
By means of mathematical modeling, the main features of emergency landing of quadrocopter are determined. The results of simulate landings of the quadrocopter in cases of failure of one of four pairs of electric motor sc...
ALGORITHM OF PRUNING OF HYBRID NEURAL NETWORKS ENSEMBLE
Despite the fact that the ensemble is usually more accurate than a single network, existing ensemble techniques tend to create unreasonably large ensembles that increase the use of memory and computation costs. The ensem...
INTELECTUAL APPROACH TO THE DESIGN OF WIND ENERGY PLANT ROTOR PARAMETERS
It is considered a wind power plant rotor design problem for a rotor with vertical axis of rotation. It is proposed an approarch of efficiency improvement by combined rotor design, consisting of some basic rotors (Darrie...
NEURAL NETWORKS MODULE
It is considered a basic approach for hybrid neuron network creation. As an example, the counter propagation neural network is analyzed. It is effectively used for image processing. Two modes of this neuron network funct...
