Abstract
The greater mouse-eared bat was found in a silver birch Betula pendula near the village of Jesiona (Ostrzeszów district, Wielkopolska Province) on 7 September 2013 and 13 September 2014. This is the first observation of this species in a tree hollow in Poland. The surrounding area is dominated by pine forest.
