PLURALISM OF SEMANTICS OF THE LONELINESS PHENOMENON

Abstract
The loneliness as a polysemantic concept has been reserched. Modern approaches to defining the essence of loneliness have been analyzed. Also, the diversity of interpretation of the loneliness problem of a man has been discussed. The modification of loneliness, content related concepts have been defined. It has been determined that loneliness should be understood as a state of mental distress, which is both a destructive force for the individual and a necessary condition for self-knowledge and self-determination.
