POETIC VIEW OF THE WORLD IN THE CREATIVE WORK OF M.K. KLODT - LANDSCAPE-PAINTER (1832-1902)

Abstract
Mikhail Konstantinovich Klodt (Baron Klodt von Jurgensburg) (1832-1902) was an outstanding Russian landscape painter of the second half of the XIX century. He was one of the first Russian artists to combine genre painting with an epic landscape. With the consummate skill of M.K. Klodt recreated in his landscapes a holistic image of Russia. The artist's works are poetic and airy, light and peaceful, which, alas, can not say about his life, which was with a clear "taste of tragedy".
