Abstract
“Popüler Kültür,” sınırları belirsiz, muğlak bir terimdir. Onu tanımlamaya kal-kan herhangi iki eleştirmen popüler kültürün gerçekten ne olduğu konusunda her ba-kımdan nadiren fikir birliğine varırlar. Birçok eleştirmen esasen onu tanımlamaya da kalkışmazlar; bunun yerine çoğu, popüler kültür ve kitle iletişim araçları ile popüler kültür ve “yüksek” kültür arasında bir ayrım yaptıktan sonra, geniş ölçüde yaygınlık kazanmış ve tecrübe edilmiş her şeyin “popüler kültür” olduğunun herkesçe bilindiği-ni varsayar.
